Department Nottingham University Business School
Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) has one fully-funded PhD studentship and is inviting applications from suitably-qualified graduates.
This project-based PhD studentship would be with the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HGI) within Nottingham University Business School.
Co-location spaces is a broad term which encompasses a diverse range of organisational forms including business incubators, accelerators, maker spaces, fabrication laboratories (fab labs) and increasingly new entrants offering entrepreneurial shared space. Research into such spaces and their ability to enable or constrain entrepreneurial action is an emerging field of great practical, as well as theoretical, importance.
The proposed PhD project aims to explore the relationships between the different co-location spaces business models and performance outcomes, especially tangible outcomes such as productivity, innovation and growth. This would contribute to the research agenda on the effectiveness of early stage entrepreneurship support pursued by the School’s Haydn Green Institute (HGI).
This funded PhDs will commence from 1st February 2021. A yearly stipend at current RCUK rates (£15,285), plus UK/EU student tuition fees (£4,414), is available to the successful applicant.
