INL is seeking for a highly-qualified, self-motivated fellow to participate in activities related to R&D of novel thin and flexible sensors for monitoring ambient factors related to pressure ulcer occurrence (such as temperature, pressure and humidity/moisture), and their integration into textile products. The candidate will be part in a multidisciplinary team with a broadband experience in sensors, microfabrication and electronic prototyping. The candidate will be working in sensor integration into a multiple-parameter sensing platform, the integration/embedment (mechanical attachment and electronic connection) of the sensors/platform into textiles solutions, device instrumentation and readout electronics development, data acquisition and also the development of a graphical user-interface.

Experience and Technical Skills
Note: Candidates should not have a labour contract with INL during the 12 months before the application.
Excellent communication skills in English are required since it’s the working language of INL.
The work plan will be developed at the INL under the scientific guidance of João Gaspar.
Duration of the contract
The total duration of the employment contract shall be 24 months. The expected starting date is December 2020.
